Who is responsible for the hostile forces?

We hear, read and experience so many hostile forces in our life. Anger is a hostile force. They don't belong to you exclusively. It is not in you. It belongs to everyone. They circulate in the atmosphere. It wanders here and there. If you close the door, it will not enter.

Envy is one such hostile force. You can cite so many such negative forces that we embrace. But we blame fate, bad time for the miseries that happen because we recognize and respond to those negative emotions.

Have you thought on these lines that there is a necessity for the hostile forces? Please be aware that they exist because you gave a reason to exist. There is something in you which answers them. If nothing in you responds, if they had no hold upon any part of your nature, they would retire and leave you.

I learnt this by reading the wonderful writings of 'The Mother" of Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, India.

How to convert your self talking habit into manifest desires?

All about reprogramming subconscious mind, affirmations, auto-suggestion centers around self talk.

If you are talking to your spouse, children, colleagues, boss for about 60 minutes a day, do you know how many minutes you are talking to yourself?

It will be a minimum of 120 minutes! If that is the case, have you ever wondered what was it that you were talking to yourself?

* Were you just rehearsing the conversations with others?
* Were you cursing yourself for not doing something properly?
* Were you just day dreaming?

If you care to analyze honestly, you would be pumping your mind, especially your inner self with negative rubbish!

Whatever it may be, you can convert those 120 minutes into something extraordinarily productive. The possibilities are so mind boggling that you would certainly curse yourself (again but for a better purpose) for not knowing about it earlier.

Don't ever say "no time".

Don't ever regret for the things that you did not enjoy in your life because you spent your working days by saying you have no time. That might have been true but you said it with a sense of pride instead of feeling sad.

Most of us in out life would find life almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours in a day is not enough. Read further if it makes sense to you, at least show this to your children before it is too late. The following content is received by me through email from my sister.

Quote begins:
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - family, children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions – Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner
.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.' Quote ends.

Two simple rules to lead a happy life.

Everyone of us without any exception would have felt that it is your day and whatever you do would stand out in the world.

Those are the days that circumstances would be in your favor. You would feel extremely confident to accomplish any task.

You would feel an under current of copious energy flow. At the end of such a day, you will conclude that lady luck was with you.

Would like all your life to be filled up with such a heady and supreme feeling? Yes, you would. So would I.

How to accomplish that?
Just know that those friendly circumstances were moved near you by your Creator. Pray to him for that and he would provide exactly that. But he would demand something in return from you.

* Realize and acknowledge that super power.
* Don't make use of your daily life exclusively for your growth.

Use self suggestion to improve your self confidence.

Just after I graduated from my college, I was fortunate to get a friend working in mass media. He time and again talked me about the importance of auto suggestion and the different ways I can implement self suggestion.

He in fact, wrote out a few affirmations to improve my self confidence. But, these days, it is all automated. Internet has made more things possible than we can remember.

Brain re-programming is a must for all youth who are fresh in the world of jobs and careers.

I know self suggestion works. It has proved to very effective to me when I started looking for a job.

How to stop complaining?

There is no point in labeling anyone as a complaining type. We all without exception should be boldly labelled "Type-Complaining; Advise: Stay Away"

But the degree of complaining might vary based on the person's attitude and ability to forget. Yes, people with strong memory are vulnerable to be labelled as mentioned above.

Some of the common complaints on:
* weather
* World economy
* Unpunctual transportation
* Corrupt politics
* Disobedient children
* Bad cooking
* Poor quality groceries

To know how to stop complaining, you should know why you are complaining.

It is our resistance to 'what is' that is the prime cause of our complaining nature. We expect everything and everyone to be like us and to agree with our life values.

For example, if we don't take things easy, we want everyone around us to be the same.

If we like only classical music, we don't tolerate any other kind of music and we judge them as people with poor music taste.

We simply don't permit others to differ from us.

I think you have already found the answers to title of this blog post.

Stop looking at others.

Stop looking at others who:
Dress better than you
Drive a bigger car
Go out to dine more frequently
Travel abroad more than you
Has more material wealth than you

See, you look at the others who motivate and inspire you and draw your simple admiration but you stop wishing that you too live like them and stopping exactly at that point!

Why?

If you stop yourself at just the point of wishing, you end of being in a state of envy. And, there! You will never live to experience the same when you are in that state.

But, if you appreciate others' better and richer life, it is like saying to the Universe, "More of that please".

Too much of intelligence will induce starting problem.

One of my friends is famous-hmm... rather notorious in procrastination. For example, he started learning computer from me 3 years ago and he attended just 4 classes in the last three years. Now he stashed away his computer and contemplating appoint a remote computer operator on his behalf.

He is the typical example of "Paralysis due to Analysis". He has this elf image of an intellectual and he spends hours after hours analysing even going to a movie.

Then you can very well imagine how he spent all these 3 years
to decide whether he can become a blogger.

Most of the people are too busy in analysing a project on how they can fail the project than exploring the ideas about how a project can be a success!

Of course one should undertake a study before starting something. But the research should only be a means and not an end in itself.

To me, the first is always the easiest to take and for many, it is the most hardest part.

How to avoid emotional pain?

Pain-the mental and psychological pain is also a form of fear. I know, I know, it is difficult to accept with my view but it is a fact and you will agree with me may be later in your life, if not now.

Ok, if it is a form of fear, what are you afraid of?
Fear of lack of appreciation
Fear of lack of acknowledgement
Fear of rebuke
Fear of criticism

How this pain occurs?
When you offer resistance to the condition and situation you face at present. Resistance to 'what is' always gives you pain. And when you prolong the resistance, you feel the pain equally longer.

How to avoid this pain?
Simply by offering no resistance and accepting the fact that life is a mixture of diverse situations and conditions and it will not be always as you want it.

Is there any example?
Yes. You put up your opinion on something to the person you are talking to. And he doesn't agree with your views and differs in his opinion. You immediately get angry and starts arguing in defense of your view. You slowly build up anger and that leads to resentment and frustration-all are negative emotion and are indications that you are afraid-afraid of losing.

Any solution?
Sure. Simply allow the person to differ from you. They have every right to differ.

Just allow them to be.

If this story can't open our eyes....

A woman baked chappati for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chappati on the window-sill, for whosoever would take it away.

Everyday, a hunchback came and took away the chappati. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following g words as he went his way: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" This went on, day after day. Everyday, the hunch-back came, picked up the chappati and uttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude,” she said to herself. "Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?"

One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. "I shall get rid of this hunchback," she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the chappati she prepared for him! As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. "What is this I am doing?" she said. Immediately, she threw the chappati into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window- sill.

As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chappati and muttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman.

Everyday, as the woman placed the chappati on the window-sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him. She prayed for his safe return.

That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak... As he saw his mother, he said, "Mom, it's a miracle I'm here. While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed.

I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by. I begged of him for a morsel of food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole chappati. As he gave it to me, he said, "This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!"

As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale. She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned chappati that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life!

It was then that she realized the significance of the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!

Are you paying it forward?

Every person that had shed his/her body, had left behind something good for the people of the earth. They need not have been Mother Theresa, Marconi, A.G. Bell.

They could have been your father, mother, son, neighbor, the stranger you have once met or never met-everyone of them came to this earth with a specific good purpose and they had definitely achieved that before leaving this earth with a good name or a bad name.

Good or bad name are all our own interpretation and that again the echo of of our so called beliefs and values. And we know that our beliefs and values have changed and will keep changing.

In recognition of what we have received from our forefathers and ancestors, in gratitude of the life we are leading today, we should pause for a moment and question ourselves:"What have I given?".

See, it need not be something that is reported in the newspapers, spoken about in the U.N. or recognized in your own country publicly. Our aim is not to get all those but just to do our bit.

It can be as small as planting a sapling on the roadside and nurturing it for sometime, an hour of free education to the needy, a small donation to your local temple or just answering patiently to a wrong caller on your telephone.

Remember, whatever you do, you are creating a chain. It will be carried on; the chain won't be broken.

"Of all those people who went before to prepare the way for us, most of those people will not ask us to pay them back. But what they do ask of us is to pay it forward that we make this world a better place for those who come after us in just the way that they made this a better place for us.”

Thank you Surjit for reminding me to do my part of paying it forward.

How to avoid frequent failuresof gadgets?

You might remember the constant complaints about myriad matters from some of your friends and relatives. The nature of their complaints relate to frequent breakdowns of household gadgets and vehicles, missing the flights, holdups in traffic, investments that turn into losses, not getting the recognition in their work and profession and many more.

This is so in spite of living in comfortable house, having two or more cars and all the modern comforts and a more than adequate bank and cash balance.

Still.. wonder why they are still experience all the miseries?

Thoughts, feelings and emotions are vibrations and the frequency of them can create disturbances in not only ourselves but in everything that is made of the same materials. Everything, animate or inanimate-are composed of the same atoms that have universal characteristic and they behave in the same way when disturbed.

Got it?

So, what is the solution?
Examine those thoughts and emotions and feelings that are constantly in your mind and simply change them to the opposite.

How to recognize when they are changed?
Oh, it is very simple. When you have a thought, it should give relief from your previous disturbing feelings and emotions.

So, just reach for such thoughts that take you to higher vibrations which are joy and peace and gratitude.

A new visitor to my husband's blogging academy turned to be an voracious reader of spiritual and self development books and guides. My husband's face lit up to 1000 Watts.

The visitor was given a free time to browse through my husband's personal library of self development and spirituality books. They both started discussing about various books and totally forgot about the visitor's purpose which was to inquire about the various training courses on blogging.

Then the subject as anticipated steered towards the 61 e-books on self development that my husband started promoting online. He advertises the the complete collection as
"The Greatest Library of Self Help, Success & Spiritual eBooks ever Written".

The collection includes these all time favorites:
As a man thinketh by James Allen
Acres of Diamond by Russell H. Conwell
Thoughts of Vibration
by William W. Atkinson

I thought the visitor would be tempted to buy the collection but he ended up as a trainee in my husband's blogging academy.

How desires are born?

Desires are given to you by the Divine. They don't originate from your brain. Don't take credit for the desires and its manifestation.

How desires work?
In a very simple and most common example, I will explain this. Imagine a kid growing up in a house full of noise that is full of abuses and hatred exchanged between its parents. At the early stage, even though the child may not grasp the full implications of incompatibility between its parents, its subconscious mind soaks in all the information.

As the child grows up, it will start understanding. It gets disturbed. It desires peace and love in married life. There! A desire is born!

Your desires are in response to what you observe. The divine has exposed to you to conditions that you don't want to experience in your life and thereby giving rise to new desires.

Since the desires are given to you by the Divine, it sure has plans to make those desires a reality which thus far existed only on the mental plane.

So, when you have a desire, be absolutely sure that it will manifest. Just have patience and let go and let God!

Got the point?

Who emotes- you or your mind?

* My mind says I should stay away from that family whose culture is totally alien.
* I can't understand how the people of a particular nation eat that food.
* I strongly condemn the practice of that islanders.
* Politicians should behave like me.

You label, attach tags, pass judgments, thus literally blocking the ways to find true human relationship. These judgments and opinions stand between you and yourself, between you and fellow men, between you and nature and above all it is between you and God.

This sense of false identity with which we are not born is the cause of all the miseries of the world. When one nation throws away 3 gallons of milk just because they don't need it and another nation reports hundreds of death due to starvation.

If I, from India want to reach out and help, I am prevented due to political barriers which are only artificial and man made.

Who wants to reconcile to the fact that we are all one and separateness is just an illusion? Who is ready to assimilate the fact that nature holds no barriers. Who is ready to understand that all that we admire and appreciate-beauty, love, creativity-arise beyond mind?

Oh, who is John Galt?

Free personality test.

I love these tests that will interpret a few answers of mine and depict a picture of me which will invariably be different from what I think of me.

I know many people avoid taking such personality tests for sheer fear of facing the fact. Such persons simply would like to keep their own evaluation of self, intact. These people are simply not interested in raising their character and find a new self.

If you are like me with an open mind and sincerely interested in finding out your true personality, please visit Kabbalah and take the simple online personality test. It is a great self discovery tool. I am absolutely sure this personality evaluation will enhance your character and enrich your relationship with life.

HRD (human resource development) personals can use this test for the benefit of their corporate clients and students.

If you are:
* committed to making an important change in your life?
• ready to invest time and effort in your future?
• prepared to try something different?
• interested in finding out and removing blocks in you that are actually psychological barriers which turn all your efforts not very productive?

If you answered yes to these questions, then Atzmi’s Self-Discovery option is for you.

I have taken an interesting test and awaiting results through email.

Did you get the message?

I am deeply inspired and moved by an article by Al Diaz and based on that, I am writing this blog post.

There are certain things that keep recurring in our life; events, incidents and experiences which we would not have wished, might have occurred repeatedly.

We might have carefully watched over our thoughts, stayed fully on positive thoughts only, wished no harm to any one or any creature, must have been leading a compassionate life but still…

We might be fervently wishing for better turn of events and conditions but why it is not so?

Then we must grasp and digest a fact that there is something the universe is trying to tell us. There is surely a hidden purpose for the ‘not so desired’ experiences and conditions in our life.

Al Diaz says there is a reason why the same old stuff resurfaces and it is telling you to wake up!!!

There is no use to get angry at the circumstances, no use blaming others; it is not bad luck at all.

So, what should be done?

It is time you invest in your Self. Listen to your inner voice. Read new books; cultivate new habits; change your routine; reach out for new friends. Do something totally new to you!

Al Diaz has concluded his article in such a manner that it hit me hard and square and here it is: “If you decide to do nothing or very little, I still honor your path, and I still Love you as you are… The same goes if you fulfill the greatness that you already are.”

Get Al Diaz's new book here!

You hate me and I hate you!

Wait wait! Please, read further before forming an opinion.

One of the laws of universe is the law of inclusion which means there are absolutely no exclusions. Whatever you want and appreciate will also want you and appreciate you.

So, whatever you hate, will give you more chances to hate more things. Do you want that?

Yes, I agree we are bound to have certain likes and likes. I can veer you away from that notion also but that thought system may be too radical and unacceptable for you.

So, based on the notion that we are endowed with likes and dislikes, if you practice hard to turn your thoughts away from your dislikes and always think about what you like, there is no other way but to experience more of your likes.

This is law and no exceptions.

Give them reasons to exist.

Blowdown Lake, Stein Valley Nlaka'pamux Herita...Image via Wikipedia Every human being takes a different path led by own their perspectives, wisdom and choices. The only drawback is we all expect certain things in our life path based on our wishes. There is nothing wrong in expectations.

But, when we don't find greens, water bodies and beautiful birds in our path but encounter thorny bushes, rocks and stones, bleak terrains, we naturally don't like them. We resist the experience and when we do that, we feel biological and psychological pain.

The more we resist, the more we prolong the pain.

We fail to assimilate the basic facts of life. The duality of the planet earth will present us with peaks and valleys, flowers and thorns, lakes and parched plains. We simply have to accept them as they are.

I know it is easier like that than done. But we must learn to accept the life as it is given to us. No one reaches the desired destination without some form of adversity.

Living the life involves exactly as it says-Live by letting everything and everyone else to be. Give them reasons to exist.

Isn't biology still a miracle?
