Why are you still waiting?

I am thinking aloud on the reasons for the difference between people who are getting what they want and those who never get anything.
I would like take my focus away from the first category of people and talk to the second category that comprises most of the mankind who have firmly concluded already that their life is on hold and that is why they are not manifesting anything they want.
On a further analysis of this majority of people, I sense 50% of them lack motivation. They seem to be waiting for something or somebody to place them on the first category of successful people.
Tell me,
· Are you waiting for an angel or someone to come along?
· Are you waiting on a great job to fall into your lap?
· Are you waiting on winning the lottery to plan your retirement?
I would like to cite an example here. One of my very close friends sought my help to start a blog on spirituality. I obliged him, taught him the basics of blogging and helped him to publish his first blog post. This happened in the year 2008. That's it! Not a single word was further added to his blog. He is simply waiting for a cosmic force to reveal divinely the art of blogging.
He is a grand example of people who wait for something to unfold instead of reaching out to pull a string that would unfold the life’s surprises. The only difference between him and the people, who are getting what they want, is that they kept moving and he didn’t.
Stop waiting, move man, move!

How to filter 60,000 thoughts a day?

We all know our mind drifts. But do you know how much the drifting is? We are said to think as many as 60,000 thoughts a day! And the mazing thing is 90% of them are repetitive!

Unbelievable but true.

Is it really possible to filter the thoughts, push the repetitive thoughts away that won't help us in anyway?

Yes but it takes to practice but once we do that, there is untold benefits for us.
*We can focus on thoughts that bring us joy and peace
*We can say 'no' to negative thoughts
*We can easily practice visualization
*We can master the art of attention

I came across a short video that will describe a small breathing exercise to help you to quiet the mind and increase your visualization power.

I once read a book titled,"An idiot's guide to creative visualization'. It was an eye opener for me. Excellent guide.

The danger of comparison.

Comparing self with others, our children with other children is known to mankind when they first noticed the lack of something in them which others had.

It can be as silly as an extra candy to as big as President of a nation. We ponder on myriad things, simply wasting time without ever realizing the damage done to self.

People are uncomfortable when other had money to go to a fine restaurant when he ate in roadside diner; people curl themselves in with envy when they are aware that their friend or relative got a better job. The list is endless.

What are all the harmful effects of comparison:
Low self esteem
Unsociable attitude
Envy leading to serious physiological side effects
A feeling of inadequacy
Constant sense of remorse

As the focus is shifted on the lack of something, the law of attraction is set in motion and the lack magnifies.

Whatever we focus on, expands.
Let this important law of universe sink in. Remember to read this law as many times as possible in a day. I am 100% sure, you will change your focus on something you want instead of something you don't want.
