There is no point in condemning anything or anyone.

Look, there is no point in condemning anything or anyone. Mind you, the thing or the person you want to be changed so that you will like, will remain the same or a little more of the same and you will continue to nurture your dislike which will be ultimately detrimental to your peace of mind.

Let me explain my present living condition that will throw more light on what I am saying.

Since last 50 days, my house is surrounded by lot of rain water and because of this, my freedom of movement is restricted. I keep spending money to improve the situation but the water doesn't recede.

Do you know why I am facing this condition?

The house in which I was living previously also faced the same situation and I cursed everyone and everything for my owes. I moved to the present house in order to escape the bad conditions and look at where I am now!

Why this happens?
It is because of the fundamental law of universe."Whatever you focus on, expands."

How to stop complaining?

There is no point in labeling anyone as a complaining type. We all without exception should be boldly labelled "Type-Complaining; Advise: Stay Away"

But the degree of complaining might vary based on the person's attitude and ability to forget. Yes, people with strong memory are vulnerable to be labelled as mentioned above.

Some of the common complaints on:
* weather
* World economy
* Unpunctual transportation
* Corrupt politics
* Disobedient children
* Bad cooking
* Poor quality groceries

To know how to stop complaining, you should know why you are complaining.

It is our resistance to 'what is' that is the prime cause of our complaining nature. We expect everything and everyone to be like us and to agree with our life values.

For example, if we don't take things easy, we want everyone around us to be the same.

If we like only classical music, we don't tolerate any other kind of music and we judge them as people with poor music taste.

We simply don't permit others to differ from us.

I think you have already found the answers to title of this blog post.

How to filter 60,000 thoughts a day?

We all know our mind drifts. But do you know how much the drifting is? We are said to think as many as 60,000 thoughts a day! And the mazing thing is 90% of them are repetitive!

Unbelievable but true.

Is it really possible to filter the thoughts, push the repetitive thoughts away that won't help us in anyway?

Yes but it takes to practice but once we do that, there is untold benefits for us.
*We can focus on thoughts that bring us joy and peace
*We can say 'no' to negative thoughts
*We can easily practice visualization
*We can master the art of attention

I came across a short video that will describe a small breathing exercise to help you to quiet the mind and increase your visualization power.

I once read a book titled,"An idiot's guide to creative visualization'. It was an eye opener for me. Excellent guide.

Steps to achieve inner peace-part 1.

Inner Peace-as the name suggests, there are no external factors to feel at peace and there is no such thing as external peace.

What we call as world turmoil, lack of peace around us is nothing but lack of peace with in us.

Let me explain.

A few moments make an hour. And hours make days. In order to have peaceful days, we need to have peaceful hours and they contain peaceful moments.

Life is nothing but string of moments.

Similarly, if you are at peace, you radiate peace around you and that makes a few more people at peace. This can develop a group of peaceful persons and several such groups form a peaceful community and so on.

Doesn't it make sense?

Now, let us examine briefly the steps to attain inner peace.
* Introspection
Whenever you notice a restlessness in you, ask yourself what is bothering you. I a 100% sure you find nothing of significance and you will wonder did you put up with thus far.
*Slow down
I read this somewhere: "In order to access high speed frequency, you have to slow down". Very aptly said I would say. By slow down I mean, don't try to rush up things. Let them take their own sweet time to evolve fully and bring fruits.

In fact, when you realize you are walking faster, eating at a pace that is not healthy, it means you are literally fighting to keep the inner peace away.
*Appreciate
Just pause to stop thinking or doing anything for only 5 minutes. Think about what are all things you used to appreciate and look for the same around you now. You will be surprised to more number of things than the past, to appreciate.
*Stop criticizing yourself
Over analyzing your actions, thoughts and possessions will lead you to criticize yourself and end up at an inner turmoil. How else can you attain inner peace?
In fact, if you spend that valuable time in comparing your life with many others, you will be amazed to realize that you are really doing very well.
*Be lazy
Lazing around for a minimum of 15 minutes a day can do wonders to your spirit. Just be inert to your thoughts, commitments and external sound.

I will discuss more steps in the next part of this blog post.

Just a thought away from being wealthy.

So, after reading articles on law of attraction of money, you have started thinking about wealth but still don’t get out of the hand-to-mouth rut-right?

What have you done wrong? Why the financial situation doesn’t improve at all?
I can reason out but correct me if I am wrong.
1. You try to push things to make it happen as per schedule
2. You are thinking about prosperity but at the same time you are focusing on why it has not come.
3. You sincerely don’t believe that money can be attracted
4. You have not acted on new opportunities because you were afraid

As Laurie Brenner said, “it takes the combination of three things to bring wealth in your life: thought, feeling, and action.” But you only thought and neglected on the other two components.Think back and you will realize what I am saying.

Another beautiful point of my friend Laurie is “wealth is a relative thing and you need to find a way to feel wealthy, right now in order by comparing with people who don’t have anything that you do have and that includes a decent meal a day and shelter at least in the night.

A nice example is cited by Laurie here:
There are roughly 350 million Americans in the United States. Equal number of people in India out of 1 billion population, are very poor, living on the streets. When compared to them, if you live in America, have a job, a house, a car-you're wealthy!

Now, tell me, are you wealthy? If you say yes and don’t change your mind, you will become wealthier. This is the law of Universe.

Being irrational is beneficial.

If someone says to you "Being irrational is beneficial", what will be your reaction? Will you react or act? There is a difference between acting and reacting. But it is not the issue of this blog post.

There are times in our life when we have to keep aside thinking or analyzing rationally to do or understand certain things. But, the curse is that we don't because we now have head that we assume thinks like a genius.

But children, under the age of 8, accept things as they see and are told. They don't have the capacity to insert rationality in their observance. That is why they experience more miracles.

Are you begging to read between the lines? Here, read this blog post titled, "Rationalize or revolutionize-the choice is yours."

The causes and effects of our limiting beliefs.

I would like to examine the causes of certain beliefs in our life that act as mental blocks leading to a life of dissatisfaction and stunted growth.

If you think limiting beliefs are harmful, you are mistaken. It is much more than harmful and can really lead to stunted growth. Limiting beliefs are usually latent-I mean we are not even aware of them and what they do to us. They dictate our thoughts and attitudes that are detrimental to our growth.

Limiting beliefs-how and when they are formed.
Limiting beliefs settle in our subconscious mind starting from our early childhood days till our conscious mind starts evolving. While the minds of most of the human beings start waking up after 40 years, they cannot be generalized. For many, their mind remains the same till their death.

* We observe our parents and conclude certain things that are etched deeply in our subconscious mind.
* We act and the results remain in our memory for a long time.
* We read and assimilate things that don’t change our thoughts easily.
* We decide that might not have brought results as expected leading to form certain beliefs.

Overall, our thoughts and attitudes are shaped based on our beliefs that we take them as true. Such beliefs won’t let us look at future opportunities and experiences with a different perspective, thus tying us to a chain which hinders exploration of life with a positive frame of mind.

A few examples that form our limiting beliefs:
* When our parents favor their new born child that takes their attention away from us
* When our appearance is scorned
* When our academic performance is criticized
* When we are rejected by opposite sex
* When our choice of higher education is not approved
* When our marriage fails to blossom
* When we lose our investments
* When our advice to others bring undesired results

All these beliefs prevent us from taking the same actions that we took before because of fear of failure or rejection. We firmly (falsely) believe that the past results are the only absolute parameters of life. We are not interested in listening to our inner voice that continues to goad us with positive suggestions and we live a life of stunted growth. This deprives us of the true pleasures of a full life.

How my limiting beliefs were removed:
My limiting beliefs were dug out when I started thinking with self honesty. Whenever I was afraid to take action, I used to ask myself this question: “If he or she can do it, why can’t I”.

Also, Joe Vitale, who has authored several books on spiritual development, played a major role in my life transformation. His slogan which changed me inside out by acknowledging and removing my limiting beliefs: “Change your beliefs and change your life”.

Intuition. Who said what?

I give below some of the famous personalities on intuition and its related words which are:
* Hunch
* Inner voice
* Gut feeling
* Insight

There is no logical way to the discovery of these elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance.
- Albert Einstein

Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.
- Florence Scovel Shinn

Intuition comes very close to clairvoyance; it appears to be the extrasensory perception of reality.
- Alexis Carrel

Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the answer.
- Robert Graves

The two operations of our understanding, intuition and deduction, on which alone we have said we must rely in the acquisition of knowledge.
-Rene Descartes

Do you know how to unlock your intuition and how to accurately and reliably access your most valuable resource?

Do you want to know about Practical Intuition?

Wait for my series of blog posts on "Intuition-what is its power and how to develop your intuition."

What are you thankful for?

Time and again, I have blogged about the power of feeling grateful for as many things as possible and how gratitude can bring you the very things that you feel grateful for.

As I have told, the cosmic forces will shower on you the things,people, circumstances, places that you sincerely appreciate and say thanks for bringing them into your life experience.

If you are like that way, isn't it wonderful to meet like minded persons online to share your thoughts and experiences?

Go toThankfulFor – register and answer this one question: “What are you thankful for?” You can post small personal thanks, share it to the community, and then read what others are thankful for today.

Today I thank Flickr and Zemanta for showing me the picture of this rare colored flower.
