The Beauty Makers, who are they?

I am not referring to beauticians who take care of your hair style, nails and face make up. You go to a beautician and come out well groomed.

I am referring to Dr. Jeffrey S. Epstein, the New York hair transplant specialist who has been featured in The Beauty Makers, a new book showcasing 25 top plastic surgeons in the United States.

Excerpts from the book:

"America can be thankful for the dedicated, gifted, medical professionals in our society. After one professional who has earned such accolades is Jeffrey S. Epstein, MD, FACS, a leader in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and an internationally recognized expert in the field of hair restoration."

As an International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeon, he specializes in the technique of follicular unit grafting and has special expertise in the repair of prior transplants.

His aesthetic background is further enhanced because of his unique area of expertise among hair replacement physicians as a facial plastic surgeon.

When a patient approaches him for a consultation, he meticulously studies the pattern of hair growth, the Direction hair growth and the position and shape of the hairline and then decides which is the best treatment for the patient-follicular unit grafting (FUG) or follicular unit microextraction (FUM).

He is assisted by as many as 10 persons to perform FUG, so that perfect grafts can be achieved, and the procedure can be completed in the shortest amount of time, thus assuring the best rate of hair growth.
.
A more complicated and challenging method is the Follicular unit microextraction (FUM), a relatively new procedure by which, the grafts are removed one at a time using a tiny (1.3 mm or smaller) circular punch rather than removing the donor hairs as a single strip from which thousands of grafts are dissected out.

Dr. Jeffrey S. Epstein-he is certainly a Beauty Maker in a real sense.
