Who likes astrology?

Every time I meet a friend of mine, he will be usually in deep conversation with an astrologer. Invariably after his session with the astrologer, he will sport a sullen face that will be devoid of cheer.

This man is highly educated but I feel he lacks self belief. Every person who plainly pulls on with the words of the astrologer is lacking self belief and the power in God.

Why Indians are so much obsessed with astrology and its other various forms? Why people just don't believe every day is a beautiful day with full of pleasant surprises?

Why don't they just believe in God and on his assurance that he will take care of His children? Is an astrologer more powerful than God?
