Were you ridiculed in your younger days for day dreaming? Almost everybody was criticized for day dreaming.
But tell me, if all those great scientists did not day dream, would it have been possible all the ‘taken for granted’ scientific advancements we are enjoying today?
The dreams of inventors were manifested just because they gave a form to their thoughts, which the Universe worked unseen to bring into reality.
Some of the dreams were inspiration for them to invent new technology. Some derived inspiration just by watching nature.
Echo was a reason for the radio. Birds were the reason for planes.
Reports of sightings of UFO (flying saucer) were the inspiration to go to moon to explore the possibilities of finding life in distant planets.
Human race has not given up hope even today in finding other forms of life in planets other than Earth.
My internet research to write an article on UFO, revealed to me some interesting tidbits.
* UFO is a 1970 British science fiction television series about a secret military organization which defends the Earth from Alien invaders.
* More than 2000 reports of unidentified aircraft in the Scandinavian nations were published in 1946. It was supported by a few more random reports from France, Portugal, Italy and Greece.
* The first widely publicized U.S. sighting was in 1947.
* During the reign of the Pharaoh Thutmose III around 1450 BC, there is a description of multiple “circles of fire” brighter than the sun and about 5 meters in size that appeared over several days.
* In 322 BC when Alexander was besieging Tyre in Phoenicia, another “flying shield” moving in triangular formation with smaller “shields” approached. Supposedly the larger object shot beams of light at the city shattering its walls and other defenses. Alexander's army quickly took advantage of the situation and seized the city. The objects then departed.
