An encounter with a Reiki master.

My husband happened to locate a lost friend of his last month. Incidentally, he was instrumental in my marriage.

You can learn to focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want. This is such a simple idea.

You will be able to see immediately that it is true. But you would be amazed how many people really do focus on what they don't want!

Even when you ask them what they want, here is what they say:
1. I don't want to be sick.
2. I don't want to fight with my wife (or husband).
3. I want to stop procrastinating.
4. I just want to get rid of this weight problem.
5. I want to get out of this job.
6. I don't want to be insecure.
7. I want to junk that old car.
8. I don't want all those weeds in my garden.
9. I'm tired of being tired all the time.
10. I don't want to feel trapped.

You can see from the above ten examples that even when you aren't using the words "don't want", you may still be focusing on what you don't want.

Saying you want to get out of your job, and visualizing being out of that job, may just get you fired. You'd better be creating the job you want.

How to detect if your employee is lying?

My husband’s friend is a HRD person. He frequently addresses corporate executives covering several HRD related topics.

He asked my husband to be on the look out or some interesting material relevant to his field.

My husband happened to stumble on to some very amusing stuff in the latest Reader’s Digest entitled “A guide to Body Language in the Office”.

Eye contact:

Most of us are comfortable with a few seconds of eye contact, but anything longer can seem aggressive or intense. If your colleague looks away a lot, assume they are bored or perhaps they are shy.

Watch the feet:

If people start to copy you, it means they are open to your ideas. But if a person’s body and feet are turned away from you, even though they are looking at you, it means they’d rather be moving the way their feet are pointing.

Cross arms:

If you someone with their arms crossed, assume them to be defensive or negative even if they say they agree with you. Their critical stance will continue until they have uncrossed heir arms, so try to find out what’s bothering them or draw them out.

What their eye movement:

If a person’s eyes move up and to the left while you are talking to hem, they process information visually. If the eyes only move left, they think in terms of sounds, but eyes moving o the right and down indicates they learn through their feelings.

Do they tell a lie?

When someone is lying, they tend to become generally less expressive with their hands, but make a lot of shrugging and hand-t-face gestures. Hands or fingers covering the mouth indicate deceit-the brain is subconsciously telling the hand to suppress the deceitful words.

What their head conveys:

Tilting the head to the side indicates an interest in what’s being said. When they drop their heads, they are displaying a negative, judgmental or critical attitude. Using the hand to support the head suggests boredom has set in.

One of the hottest debates in physics today is over the true nature of space: Is it a 'luminiferous ether'.

If it does, indeed, require a superdimensioned construction to explain the physical laws of the universe, one must wonder why this construction could not be replaced by one using real and observable dimensions like width, length, and depth.

If, on the other hand, space is a 'luminiferous ether' or some tenuous 'fluid', then one wonders why the functions of the physical laws of the universe cannot be observed; and, hence, translated into a mathematical construct of reality... of three real dimensions with time expressed as a ratio of relative distances and vectors.

I believe in quantum physics so I think I have the answer for this debatable question about the nature of Universe.

Since I do not want to entangle myself in controversial debates, I prefer to shut my mouth.(smile)

The theory of reincarnation.

The theory of reincarnation is appealing for several reasons:

But I beg to differ from that phrase. Confidence shows mostly in peoples' actions and reactions.

Charisma is a relative term and does not always coincides with confidence. Most of the time charismatic people may be coercing their mind to be confident while on the inner surface, they may be lacking exactly that.

Also, just because someone speaks something emphatically does not mean they are confident of their point; it may be a ploy for self defense.

Confident persons never argue but say their opinion firmly but politely. One can detect it easily from the way they deal with problems.

Nava Thirupathi.

Last week I along with my friends took a week long vacation and went to see the Nava Thirupathi.

It consists of nine temples of Lord Vishnu. All the temples are located between Tiruchendur and Tirunelveli in Tamilnadu, India.

What surprised me was the way the temples were maintained. They were all spotless and free of stale smell as has been the case of other ancient temples of Tamilnadu. One of the top corporate houses 'TVS' have come forward to maintain the temples in an impeccable manner.

Even though we were driving in a car, it took as nearly 4 hours to complete the round. Most of the approcah roads were bad and the recent rains created havoc in those remote villages.

But overall a satisfying trip really.

Laws of Universe.

I figure I have at last come in to the grips of all the Universal laws by which the entire universe functions.

My spiritual journey took off about 16 months ago and now the journey is picking up high speed.
With full gratitude to The Mother, Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Gary Renard, Joseph Murphy and Dr.David Hawkins, I feel I am now firmly turning towards higher spiritual planes.

Of the several universal laws the first one that comes to my mind is Unconditional Love.
This is the quality of Divine and if one strives to attain the Divine, then one must attune to the Divine qualities.

I agree it is difficult to practice initially but can be made in to a habit with persistence.

Nasdaq chief lacks skills in economics.

Bob Greifeld, the chief executive of the Nasdaq stock market, admitted under oath that he did not understand how to calculate gross profit margin, one of the most rudimentary formulas in business accounting.

Mr Greifeld’s lack of basic accounting knowledge was exposed this year during a case in the New Jersey Superior Court. The Nasdaq chief filed a lawsuit against a company called Tours of Enchantment, which had organised a $600,000-plus reunion for his family at a luxurious castle in Ireland.

Mr Greifeld, meanwhile, claimed in his lawsuit that he understood the contract to be based on cost plus a mark-up of 38 per cent. If an item that costs $100 is marked up by 38 per cent, it becomes $138 on an invoice. If the same item is required to show a 38 per cent profit margin, it becomes $162, because gross profit margin is calculated by dividing profit by the selling price of an item.

What happens when you practice patience is you allow external cosmic forces work for you.
