You can't be enlightened!

If you think you can get enlightenment by doing penance in the hills, thus emulating sages of yesteryear, then you are likely to be disappointed. Though doing penance was a way to attain enlightenment, it truly belongs to thee ancient times when worldly distractions were far less.

Enlightenment is interpreted in so many meanings but to me it means the realization of self. And what does it lead to do? Rather, what does it imply?

It implies that you are a piece of God (your source, your creator) and you should display Godly qualities in your daily life in this world.

During current times, you only have to allow enlightenment to get you and not the other way. This means, you should be mentally prepared to be enlightened and follow certain ways of living daily.

You see a lack of photo here depicting the enlightenment. I deliberately avoided it. Images of enlightenment will only condition your mind and make you set them as your goal.

Anger management for teenagers.

That was my topic for the last week parents' meeting. The topic was chosen by me because, of late, I noticed a growing trend among my students to be provoked to the chore at the slightest remark on their exam marks.

I am shocked to note that students these days can't tolerate their teachers and parents.

I think in the contemporary society, teenagers are often forced to be self-protective. The daily challenges in schools, on the street, inside the malls, the youth and children face myriad obstacles. Overcoming all of them makes their life stressed and they quickly lose their tolerance level.

If anger is not controlled, it can take over the life of the individual. We all witness scenes of yelling and screaming, jostle people around indecently when people are in anger.

I am an advocate of self-discipline. I firmly believe that anger can be controlled by constant reminders about how they look when in anger. Even a very beautiful face turns ugly when contorted in anger.

Still, parents have a role to play in shaping up their children. They cannot wash up their hands blaming the society, which is really made up of you and me.

Law of Attraction explained in 2 words.

I have seen raised eyebrows, wry smiles and discreet glances among audiences who have willingly gathered at Law of Attraction seminars. I know they don't believe in the basic law of universe but still they attend for what purpose I don't know.

Let me put in just two words about law of attraction.
"Mental Pictures"

We all think in images only. We don't imagine talking to space-we imagine talking to someone at a specific place and time.

We imagine what dress we wear, we visualize the reaction of the person to who we are talking to, we visualize our own emotion on imagining the reaction.

The possibilities of explaining the "mental picture" are endless.

The fundamental law of Universe based on which it function is the law of attraction.
The law brings to you in reality, the pictures you hold in your mind. It doesn't care about the positive or negative aspect of your mental picture.

So, the forming of pleasant and constructive mental picture is essential to attract what you want. I know it is difficult to form a positive image and hold it for 19 more seconds. Our subconscious mind with all its pre-programmed negativity will interefere and quickly replace the positive and pleasant pictures in our mind.

I very firmly believe this simple visualization software will fully replace all the negative and destructive grooves in your subconscious mind so that you don't habitually fall in the negative mood in the midst of trying hard to be positive.

What happens in your brain when you think?

By now, I see a change in the entire world in the outlook of people in all class. There is a growing awareness about many laws of universe such as law of attraction, the power of affirmations, how a feeling of gratitude uplifts one's inner self etc.

Still, I believe there are people who would seek proof before they would like to follow and practice these laws on universe. For example, many would surely like to believe and practice the law of attraction by programming their habitual thoughts that they give life to all day long.

Here what the physical science says about what happens in your brain when you think something new:
New learning cause physical changes in brain cells. When stimulated by new information, brain cells actually grow branches (dendrites), leading to new connections.

This occurs when we start believing in our ability to achieve what we desire. As you focus on these thoughts, brain starts to build a network of new connections changing the physical linkages in your brain.

This is what I read in a book titled, "21 days to success"

The case is on!

My sister-in-law emailed me yesterday that she finally acceded to the persuasion of the Austin Personal Injury Attorney and the case is on through the trial date is not yet announced.

I knew she got a worthy legal case to contend when she told me of her experience with the Cryotherapy gadget that she bought a few months back. She told me that neither the device nor her doctor warned her of harmful side effects if she uses the equipment in utter cold conditions.

Her neighbor briefed her about the usefulness of product liability claims and directed her to the legal firm of O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, expert in personal injury and auto accident law.

I don’t know how she is going to bear the mental pressures of long legal battle. I will pray for a quick resolution.

BTW, please make a note of the address and phone number of O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath. It might be handy for future needs.

Are you brave?

The universal misconception about bravery is to do heroic deeds as we watch in movies and television serials.

To me, bravery means self honesty. It means accepting frankly our weaknesses and mistakes. But do we do that always? Obviously not. We are not brave enough to accept our shortcomings even to ourselves. How then we can expect others to be like that?

Instead of looking at ourselves, we look at the back of everyone and blaming the whole world and want the world to change! To change the world, the first obvious step is to be taken by us.

I am no exception to this trait. I see plastic garbage everywhere in my city. I can see mountains of it along the railway tracks and garbage bins. Still, I also throw away dangerous plastic bags in the garbage sack.

I don't carry proper bags when I go to buy vegetables and accept gladly the goods in polythene bags given by the vegetables vendor. Nevertheless, I am worried about global warming, deteriorating ecological conditions etc. What a contradiction!

I may be brave at least by accepting my mistakes but what is the use?
